K-Sun Label Now Has 11 New Label Cartridges

K-Sun Label now has 11 new cartridges added to its LABELShop® line of thermal-transfer adhesive-backed tape and heat-shrink tube cartridges for use with K-Sun label makers, printers and labeling systems.

Black on Orange adhesive tape is used in electrical and datacom installations for labeling panels, cables and wires as well as for warning and safety applications. Color complies with the ANSI/TIA/EIA 606A label standard and ANSI/ASME for warning labels, pipe markers, signage, wire/cable and other identification needs.  This label comes in 1/2” (12mm) Label # 212BO and 1” (24mm) Label # 224BO.

Black on White and Black on Yellow Extra-Strength Industrial adhesive tape is designed for maximum permanence in extreme and regular industrial and laboratory environments.  The adhesive is two times stronger than LABELShop® original industrial adhesive, which has been tested to withstand temperatures from 0 F – 350 F/150 C. These two labels are 1” (24mm) x 26 feet.  Label # 224IBW is Black Ink on White tape and Label # 224IBY is Black Ink on Yellow tape.

Black on Photoluminescent (Glow in the Dark) adhesive tape is for high visibility in low light situations, including safety applications, facility markings and wayfinding aids. The Glow in the Dark Labels now come in two new sizes: Label # 212LMY is a 1/2” (12mm) by 59” long. Label # 224LMY is a 1” (24mm) by 59” long. These new widths are in addition to K-Sun’s existing Black on Photoluminescent in ¾” (18 mm) size.

White on Black Heat-Shrink Tube provides a high contrast, seamless and professional image for wires and cables such as coaxial cable, Cat 5 cable for LAN and Ethernet and other datacom, electronic and electrical needs. Label # 205STWB is 3/16″ by 96” long and Label # 211STWB is a 1/2” (12mm) by 96” long.

Black on Reflective White and Black on Reflective Yellow is used in safety and general labeling for increase night-time visibility and enhanced reflective brightness. It’s also used on signs, mailboxes, boats, motorcycles, bicycles, and driveway markers. Label # 224RFW Black ink on Reflective White tape is 1″ (24mm) by 4’9” long.  Label # 224RFY Black ink on Reflective Yellow tape is 1″ (24mm) by 4’9” long.

A new size of White on Clear adhesive tape is for use on mirrored applications and one-up packaging for a seamless, professional look and where white letters will contrast with a colored or black background. This size, White Ink on Clear Tape; Label # 224WC 1″ (24mm) by 26 ft is added to the existing K-Sun White on Clear in ½” (12mm) Label # 212WC  and ¾” (18 mm) size Label # 218WC.

With more than 100 colors and tape sizes, K-Sun LABELShop® tapes are made of a durable polyester base with an industrial-grade acrylic adhesive and shrink tube is made from an industrial-grade polyolefin base material.

LABELShop® labeling tapes and shrink tube materials are all designed to be printed with the durable resin thermal transfer ribbon process for UV, scratch, fade, chemical and smear resistance. In addition, K-Sun printers’ thermal transfer process is ideal for bar code applications requiring scanning clarity. All tapes have been tested to withstand extreme temperatures (0 F – 302 F/150 C), outdoor conditions (10-year life in direct sunlight), abrasion and pressure. K-Sun also carries iron-on fabric labels and self-laminating overwrap for wire/cable application.

Tapes are flexible for curved surface labeling, and adhesive can adhere to itself for wire tabbing/flagging. Cartridges are recyclable through K-Sun, and a portion of the cartridge housing is made from recycled plastic. The tapes comply with ANSI/TIA/EIA-606A standards and shrink tube materials complies with UL 224, mil-w-23053/5 class 1 and 3 and mil-IR 46846 type V ratings.

Labeling is essential for safety reasons in laboratories, industrial environments, manufacturing plants, airlines, and hundreds of other areas of work. But one of my favorite places to use a label machine is in the home:

  • Label telephone receivers and base stations with codes for voice-mail retrieval plus home street address and emergency numbers including the poison control hotline  so that if a babysitter or visitor has to call for an emergency this information is seen immediately and available on both the phone base and cordless handsets.
  • For family members who have disabilities or require supports and services for daily living, label equipment, functional items and work/therapy areas in the home or other environment. This helps to organize necessary supplies and equipment for easy storage and access for the individual, family members, caregivers and support personnel. Sometimes an unexpected illness may require many caregivers and volunteers; so labeling items becomes crucial.
  • For files that need to be quickly identified, color coded labels can help; for example health or medical files that may need to be immediately accessed can be labelled in a unique color, font and font size.
  • When labeling children’s items, toys, clothing, backpacks, etc. with identification, take care that the label is not easily seen. This is to prevent a predator from reading the name a child’s name and using it to appear familiar.
  • Labeling toy storage areas can help young children learn to put away their toys after playtime, personal toys and items can be color coded for easy identification for each child!
  • Label each circuiton electrical and circuit breaker panels  and  the appliance it serves. The master shut-off switch should be labeled in a distinctive color for immediate access. Label other utility valves, such as natural gas, with instructions for shut-off. The Electrical Safety Foundation recommends that every adult in a home, office or shop should know how to safely and quickly turn off and/or restore power in an emergency.
  • Label the storage area in the home, shop or garage for easy access to tools, nuts, bolts, ect. Add brightly colored warning labels to the front of containers holding hazardous household or garden chemicals and products.
  • Label your paint cans with the date and room (or area) that the paint was used for.
  • Take away the guess work by labeling the date when changing batteries in smoke alarms or filters in the heating or air and other appliances.
  • The best part about using the label machine for these labels is that they will not fade or wear away the way regular household tape and felt pens do.

While working at my desk today, I realized that the binders of info I need to refer to are always stashed away out of sight. I decided to “cover” them and label them for easy reference and a stylish look while they sit on my desk top. I used the KSun Green Machine labeling machine to print out my labels; and the KSun Green Machine even trims the edges of the labels into perfectly rounded corners! LOVE IT!! Ahhhhh….. organization!

Tired of chaos taking over your life? Wade thru it one step at a time. Choose one are of your home and “De~Clutter” it once and for all. I swear it will empower you to keep going. It will lift a heavy weight of overwhelm and powerlessness from your shoulders! In my bedroom I have a cabinet that was intended for a dining room; I put my sheets, towels and clothing in it. In the photos you can see that it became a disorganized eye sore. My way of wading thru the chaos one step at a time was to strip it bare; and then organize it in a way that makes sense. If you were to peek under the edge of the folded sheets and pillowcases you would see a label that lets you know if it is a flat sheet, bottom sheet, king pillow or regular. This way anyone can not only find what they need but they can easily put it back where it belongs!! This is the trick that KEEPS things organized.
